SCHOOL
The School is the heart of our structure.
It's the prime-mover of our several activities, promoted and realised in the many sections of our
school.
The Study Centre and the Lab of Martial Arts are the places where we concretize our work of Research and Experimentation. They are important for the recovery and the practice of Western Martial Disciplines, and also to set up the guiding lines which rule the whole system.
SPORT
Scrima: At the end of the
80's, we created a Group of Research and Experimentation aimed to the recovery of combat arts. Combat arts constitute the Martial heritage in the Euro-Mediterranean area. This small human family, including experts in martial arts and Physical Education teachers became, in 1994, a Cultural Association (A.C. Shambhala) whose work is specialised in the so-called system
"Scrima", still taught nowadays. Scrima is the study of any fencing traditional art, starting from the use of sword, dagger, stick, knife, lance (traditional fence) getting to the free hands defence (Free Boxe). Scrima is a term which derives from the archaic Italian language, and is the equivalent of the term
"Fence"; it indicates the art of fencing, in view of a possible real fight, with different kinds of weapons. It includes: free hands hits, catching, fight and knocking down for personal defence.
It's a complete martial art.
Historical Fence: Our accurate study and experimentation of Martial Arts started in 1970, thanks to the willingness to teach everyone whatever was codified, by the greatest fencing masters, in precious ancient books, about European Martial Arts. Thanks to the co-operation of National Sports Library, belonging to CONI which possesses a wonderful collection of original treaties, and to the contribution of great fencing masters engaged in the show business as well (such as M. Dean Nicoḷ Perno, Master at the Drama Academy in Rome, and M. Tito Tomassini), the development of Ancient and Modern Fence has gone on since
today.
The different schools have become a unique structure (A.S. 3ST) thanks to the meeting, in 1999, between Tito Tomassini and Massimo Racca. In the landscape of the school teaching, the two disciplines are separated but anyway connected. There is also a specific section of the school dedicated to the artistic
performances.
SHOW
Show business: 3ST is an Association operating in the show business, too. We realise action scenes, both in-video and live. We realise products for cinema, fiction, documentaries, theatre, open air
performances.
The "Group" is a human club and a professional co-operation established among people working in the show business (Fencing masters, Stunt Coordinators, Stuntmen) and young experts, who decided to work in the world of Entertainment.
The resulting structure has always been successful in any activity, home and abroad, conquering a professional credit both in terms of professional image and in
prestige.
The Group is able to give birth to any kind of action scene, having a high impact, alive or in-video, and is also entitled to provide the scenes with any technical equipment (arms, armours, costumes, miscellaneous material, animals, locomotion machinery).
